New Expansion Plans Ahead for Health City

Health City Cayman Islands have announced plans to invest a further $25m in infrastructure during 2016 and up to $100m through to 2018.




Opened in February 2014, Health City and Health City Development are now expanding hospital facilities and launching a handful of commercial enterprises, including staff housing, a shopping plaza, design work on a 185-room hotel and a marketing plan for a medical school.

Outpatient expansion will add 6,000 square feet, a 75 percent addition to the present facility whilst a new 5,000-square-foot oncology wing will be an addition to the current medical oncology facility. Construction will start in the second quarter of 2016, scheduled to finish latest by the first quarter of 2017.

Also in this year’s pipeline are non-medical projects. Phase one of the 59-unit Parrot Ridge Apartments, consisting of one, two and three-bedroom units designed for staff and patients. Work will start in the first quarter of 2016, ending in the last quarter.
